Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump fought back against his critics on Sunday morning after being accused of unfairly attacking Fox News host Megyn Kelly last week.

During an interview on CNN this past Friday, Trump was asked whether he believes she unfairly targeted him during the first Republican presidential debate.

“You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.”

Some construed comment as a reference to menstrual blood.

In response to those that particular comment, Trump was banned from an important gathering of conservative activists on Saturday and drew another round of denunciations from fellow Republicans.

During a Sunday appearance on Meet The Press, Trump was asked if he’d apologize to Kelly for his comments.

“No, there’s nothing to apologize. She asked a very, very, I thought very, unfair question, so did everyone else on social media and I answered the question very well. I won every poll on debates – Time magazine, Drudge, Newsmax, every poll and people thought I won the debate easily. Sort of an interesting thing – they did not like the way I was question and I understand that and I just want to get on, but what I said was totally appropriate. There was nothing wrong. Only a deviant, and I literally mean that, only a deviant, would think anything other than that.”

It remains to be seen what impact Trump’s latest comments will have on his poll numbers – but as of last week he remained the GOP frontrunner.
