Toddler Critically Burned During SWAT Raid

Mike Paczesny | The Rundown Live

A family says a SWAT team raided its home in the middle of the night and seriously injured a 19-month-old boy with a stun grenade.

The child is currently in a medically induced coma.

A photo shows the damage to the child’s playpen.

The child’s mother told WSBTV:

It landed in his playpen and exploded on his pillow right in his face,

“He’s in the burn unit. We go up to see him and his whole face is ripped open. He has a big cut on his chest, He’s only 19 months old. He didn’t do anything.”

“Everyone’s sleeping. There’s a loud bang and a bright light, The cops threw that grenade in the door without looking first and it landed right in the playpen and exploded on his pillow right in his face.”

Police say a drug unit issued a warrant and organized the SWAT operation.

Deputies said they bought drugs from the house and came back with a no-knock warrant to arrest a man known to have drugs and weapons.

The family says they have no insurance and have set up a fund to pay for medical expenses.

Known to have drugs and weapons. Standard line. How accurate was their info? How much real investigation did they do? The story indicates they raided on the word of a drug addict. Did they police do a drive by? Did they do any serveilance of the house? No, but this process is the acceptable standard for a no-knock raid. “For officer safety.” is the common rationale. How about the safety of a 7 year old shot dead, an innocent man shot dead in his bed, a toddler burned by a flash bang grenade. This is acceptable to the police.

Just wait until the jack booted thugs show up at your house and break the door in. And you think you live in a free nation. If so, get your head out if your ass.
