Did you know that the average size of newly constructed houses in the United States is 2,600 square feet? That’s up from 2,400 square feet before the housing bubble burst. More and more people are having trouble justifying buying that kind of space for themselves. The mortgages are expensive, they cost a lot to keep warm and cool, and worst of all, they enable your ability to collect tons and tons of junk.
This fella has a different idea. He decided that he wanted to build homes out of the Earth found on site. He decided to go with an Earthbag building method that consists of filling bags with inorganic material and sturdily stacking them atop one another. And it’s much more than a house made of dirt.
