Russian Military Recruits Five “Combat Dolphins”

These dolphins will be trained to search for underwater mines and subs. They have the ability to detect possible threats near naval bases. So the Russian military is offering $5,000 for each dolphin brought in. Biologists say this kind of training is harmful to the animals. But others say that the process is worth possibly saving human lives. Both Russia and the US have trained military dolphins and sea lions before. Should animals be made a part of our wars?
