A group of New Jersey paramedics smashed a SUV’s window to rescue a baby doll.
Witnesses reported a baby locked in a vehicle as temperatures soared, responders broke the window,.
As they reached the car seat, they realized the “baby” was a plastic doll.
Workers apologized and the city of Hoboken has offered to pay for the damage.
Thomas Molta, president of the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps, says:
“I’d rather err on the side of caution. You can replace a window. You can’t replace a life,”
