Marion County residents have been instructed to not worry about the 600-700 military soldiers who have occupied the Westport High School parking lot.
According to a government website Operation Guardian’s purpose is to “combat the importation of substandard tainted, and counterfeit products that pose health and safety risks to consumers” and is under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The government website lists the following agencies involved in these trainings as ICE‐HSI,CBP, FDA, DOJ‐ Computer Crime & IP, FBI, USPIS, CPSC and now the military.
“Beginning Tuesday night, seven military units from across the United States will be conducting search and rescue training, primarily at Community Technical and Adult Education’s “All Hazards CBRNE Response Training Center,” located on the west side of the Ocala International Airport. CBRNE stands for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and (high-yield) Explosives. The 13-acre facility, at 3100 SW 67th Ave. Road, at one time was used by airport workers to train for aircraft crashes and other air emergencies.”
Community Technical & Adult Education [CTAE] can provide the best training area and the best training instructors anywhere in the country,” Lt. Col. Tim Snider said. “This exercise has been four years in planning.”
The Military when questioned if this drill was associated with jade helm denied any connection to the controversial drill. Gunnell stated, “No, not that I am aware of.”
