*UPDATE* Jesus Arroyo was captured without resisting when spotted after a brief foot chase with officers. No injuries or invasions reported.
A manhunt in Wisconsin is underway, as a prisoner escaped from the area of the Racine County Jail allegedly during transport.
The Racine Police Department is assisting in the search for this escapee.
Racine Unified School District has put all area downtown schools on lockdown at this time.
Currently Racine County Sheriff Deputies and RPD officers are looking for the escaped inmate.
The escaped inmate is Jesus Arroyo, male Hispanic, 36 years old.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and shorts, the inmate also had belly chains and hand cuffs attached and should be considered “uncooperative and dangerous“.
So far there are no reports of home entries, although many police have been spotted in local neighborhoods.
There has been an increase in crime locally the last few weeks, the police even issued statements.

Racine County Sheriff Lt. Steve Sikora and Racine police Sgt. Jessie Metoyer said at a press conference:
“We don’t have him yet,” Metoyer confirmed. “But we continue to go yard-to-yard and officers are readying for a new grid search and to refocus our efforts.”
