Newsweek claims a 64-year-old man living near Los Angeles, was said to have worked on classified projects for the US military, as well at Hughes Aircraft as an engineer, described as secretive by his family, as the mysterious creator of Bitcoin, “Satoshi Nakamoto“.

The name behind Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, is thought to be a pseudonym for the group of coders who developed the system.

I had immediate doubts this was actually the creator of the technology.

Very soon after news spread, the man denied any ties to Bitcoin.

Nakamoto said he hadn’t heard of the cryptocurrency until his son told him about it after being contacted by media.

Nakamoto states, “I am no longer involved in that and I cannot discuss it, it’s been turned over to other people. They are in charge of it now. I no longer have any connection.

Arthur Nakamoto, Satoshi Nakamoto’s youngest sibling claimsMy brother is an asshole. What you don’t know about him is that he’s worked on classified stuff. His life was a complete blank for a while. You’re not going to be able to get to him. He’ll deny everything. He’ll never admit to starting Bitcoin.

Security researcher Sergio Demian Lerner believes that Satoshi mined around 1,000,000BTC and has never spent any.

At a price of $500 each, that would make his stash worth around half a billion dollars.
