Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura has won a defamation lawsuit, claiming that Kyle’s account of a bar fight in a book he wrote was false.

Jurors awarded Ventura $500,000 for defamation and $1.3 million for the author’s unjust enrichment, in his lawsuit against “American Sniper” author Chris Kyle and his estate.

The federal jury found that the 2012 best-selling book described a bar fight with Ventura.

Kyle wrote that he ‘decked a man‘ after he allegedly said the Navy SEALs “deserve to lose a few.”

Ventura testified the incident never happened.

Kyle was killed in a bizarre incident at a shooting range leading Ventura to pursue the estate.

Ventura claimed his lawsuit is not about money and he really just wanted an apology and to clear his name.
