In the past week, several things happened in the realm of warfare.
On the last day of Obama’s presidency, the US essentially sabotaged the moderate terrorists they originally funded. About 100 militants were killed by the final Obama strike in Syria, killing people the US originally funded, who had filmed themselves decapitating a Palestinian boy.
Apparently they were being too overtly violent for the US to continue supporting them for regime change in Syria.
According to the Independent:
“More than 100 Islamist fighters have been killed by US air strikes on a training camp in Syria as American forces expand their assault beyond Isis.
The Department of Defense said planes and drones were involved in Thursday’s operation on the Shaykh Sulayman camp in northern Syria, on the last day of Barack Obama’s presidency.
A statement described the target as an “al-Qaeda training camp”, but monitors say it was controlled by Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (JFS) and Hakarat Nour al-Din al-Zenki.
JFS claimed it split from al-Qaeda last year, when it changed its name from Jabhat al-Nusra, while the Nour al-Din al-Zenki movement received American weapons including TOW anti-tank missiles as one of dozens of “vetted groups”.
Its fighters filmed themselves beheading a Palestinian boy accused of spying last year, and has abducted and tortured journalists and humanitarian workers.”
At the same time, ISIS just released a video showing off their new weapon: a drone that is said to mimic the US’ MQ-9 predator drone.
Although it has been proven that Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other forces are funding ISIS while the countries are being supplied with weapons by the US, the mainstream media and officials claim ISIS’s reaper replication is just a copy.
Could some force such as Saudi Arabia have provided ISIS with this technology?
An article from Mirror is titled: “ISIS reveal first deadly ‘reaper’ drone bomber that mimics US military craft in sick propaganda footage.” Reading from that article:
“The weapon appears to be based on the deadly MQ-9 ‘predator’ aircraft which is used by the American military and manufactured by California-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems.”
This is the result of “defense” contractors thriving and working with the US government: corporations such as Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and General Atomics Aeronautical Systems have blood on their hands.
On top of that, the first Trump administration drone strike occurred in Yemen this week.
An article from Antiwar makes the case that the drone program is essentially on autopilot. However, I personally advise that everyone avoid placing their trust in Donald Trump.
How could Trump have put a man named “mad dog” in the position of Defense Secretary, without being in with the military industrial complex?
“Mad dog” is currently bombing the Middle East immediately after taking office. In the coming days, we’re going to have to figure out exactly who they are killing right now.
According to the Daily Caller:
“Newly confirmed Secretary of Defense James Mattis celebrated his first full day at the Pentagon by presiding over 31 strikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.”
They claim to be fighting ISIS: who will be the first civilian causalities of this administration? What are they really doing?
