GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump was in Los Angeles on Friday to speak to an event at the Luxe Sunset Blvd Hotel being held by the group, Friends Of Abe – a conservative group started by actor Gary Sinise and consists of other right wing actors such as Kelsey Grammar, Clint Eastwood and Jon Voight. The event was greeted by several protestors angry over Trump’s remarks regarding immigrants from Mexico. The protest was organized by the Coalition of Human Immigration Rights Los Angeles. They arrived outside the hotel chanting “Dump Trump” and carrying pinatas modeled after the real estate mogul.
Protestors argue that Trump’s remarks are just a way of riling up the GOP base to win the nomination but they also claim that Trump’s anti-immigration rhetoric is dangerous and incites racial divide.
Anti-Trump protestors were not alone outside the hotel as they were joined by a small group of pro-Trump voters who support his views on immigration.
