The FBI has evolved over the years into one of the most active law enforcement organizations in history. The way they go about business is officially changing as it stated in one of its organizational fact sheets.

Swapping out “law enforcement” as its primary function, with “national security”.

The changes largely reflect the FBI reforms put in place after September 11, 2001.

The FBI has doubled the amount of agents dedicated to counter terrorism.
