There has been numerous reports of mysterious fake cell towers appearing around the United States. These towers however serve a more devious purpose. The towers are equipped with a state-of-the-art battlefield espionage device known as Stingray. No one has claimed ownership of these towers.
In an interviewed with The Popular Science Monthly Les Goldsmith, the CEO of ESD America and manufacturer of hi-spec encrypted smartphones aimed at businessmen who regularly visit cyber-crime hotspots Russia and China, revealed some concerning data reported by his customers.
It seems that a network of interceptor stations are already in place and installed around America.
The Stingray towers have been installed by the government with the intention to download data from all cell phone users in the area illegally for the Department of Homeland Security, local law enforcement and the NSA.
A warrant should have to be served in order to collect this kind of data.
