Construction Crew Discovers Ancient Civilization in Utah, Keeps Location a Secret

A construction crew contracted to install a Questar gas pipeline in Sandy, Utah have unearthed remnants of an ancient civilization, Fox news reports.

“This is exciting,” Laura Springsteen said, environmental coordinator for Questar Corp. “We hired archaeologists who began working the site last Friday. They removed the overburden and overlying deposits and set up a grid for the excavation areas.”

sandddArcheologists first estimated the site to be 3,000 years old and since finding these artifacts, now have changed the time line to about 1,500 years old.

Hundreds of artifacts have been unearthed in Sandy. Relics such as bone tools, projectile points and arrow tips have been discovered.

One of the objects was completely foreign to the area, an obsidian arrow point, a stone not found within a 100 miles of the site.

The location of the ancient culture is being withheld from the public at this time.

However it has been suggested it is in east Sandy, Utah.

No human remains have been found however a large pit house and a fire pit have been found.
