Coldest Winter in Over 100 Years

The National Weather Service in Wisconsin said it’s the coldest on record since the winter of 1903-04, the average temperature this winter was 21.9 degrees.

  • 32 days at or below zero
  • Jan. 6 to Jan. 10 = 5 straight days of below zero temps
  • Measurable snow on the ground for 90 days
  • 67.6 total inches of snow fell on the lakefront, which falls far short of the nearly 90 inches that fell the winter of 2007-08
