California School To Allow Staff To Carry Guns

The measure, passed April 11, allows trained school staff to carry concealed weapons. Supporters believe armed teachers will be able to keep their students safe in a crisis. But those opposed to it are worried it could do more harm than good. In more than 2 dozen states, legal gun-owners are allowed to carry guns in public schools. But the majority of those states leave the final decision up to the school districts. Does arming school staff members make schools safer?
