149 Children Rescued From Child Sex Ring Nationwide

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and local police have recovered 149 children from an under age sex trafficking ring, reports Madison’s Wmtv. Cities in Wisconsin where re-con missions occurred include Appleton, Brown County, Fond du Lac, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Monroe, Oak Creek, Oshkosh, Racine and West Allis.

The FBI reports that “Operation Cross Country, a nationwide law enforcement action that took place last week and focused on underage victims of prostitution, has concluded with the recovery of 149 sexually exploited children and the arrests of more than 150 pimps and other individuals.”

The official document states Wisconsin had several rescues as well. 57 adult victims were also rescued and 11 human traffickers were arrested in Wisconsin.

Brown County – 10 Adults; 3 Traffickers
Fond du Lac – 1 Adult; 1 Juvenile; 1 Trafficker
La Crosse – 2 Adults; 1 Trafficker
Milwaukee – 11 Adults; 5 Juveniles; 1 Trafficker
Monroe – 1 Juvenile
Oak Creek – 5 Adults
Oshkosh – 3 Adults; 1 Trafficker
Racine – 20 Adults; 1 Trafficker
West Allis – 3 Adults; 2 Juveniles; 2 Traffickers
